Safety Study of a Disrupted Adenovirus Serotype Cocaine Vaccine for Cocaine-dependent Individuals
The purpose of this clinical trial is to assess the safety and preliminary efficacy of a vaccine for individuals with cocaine dependence. The vaccine is designed to evoke an immune system response and prevent cocaine from reaching the brain. This trial is a phase 1, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. All inquiries are confidential.
Criteria: Adults with cocaine dependence
Study duration: 32 weeks
Age: 21 to 69 years old
Compensation: up to $2400

Gene Therapy for Alzheimer's Disease
Status: Currently recruiting volunteers
Gene Therapy for APOE4 Homozygote Alzheimer’s Disease
The purpose of this trial is to assess the safety and preliminary efficacy of a gene therapy for individuals who are ApoE4/E4 and diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and/or Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The gene therapy is composed of a viral vector coding for ApoE2. The E2 allele is the rarest form of ApoE and carrying even one copy appears to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s by up ot 40%. The goal of the trial is to add the ApoE2 gene into the central nervous system to compensate for the effects of ApoE4, and thus prevent or delay the progression of AD. This trial is a phase 1, open-label, dose-ranging study.
Criteria:ApoE4 homozygotes diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and/or Alzheimer’s disease (AD)
Study duration: 1 year
Age:50 years old or older
Compensation:Please inquire

Status: Currently recruiting volunteers
Characterization of the Cardiac Phenotype of Friedreich’s Ataxia
The purpose of this study is to evaluate corneal confocal microscopy (CCM) as a tool for physicians and subjects to follow the onset, progression and ultimately, a potential therapy for Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). CCM is a non-invasive examination of the number and structure of nerve cells in the cornea.
Criteria:Individuals diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA)
Study duration: 2 visits
Age: 12 to 30 years old
Compensation: Please inquire
